you see her on stage. you hear the songs. you sing along. but there’s a lot more behind the microphone than most people ever see. this week, i’m sitting down with singer-songwriter kristin trotta to talk about what it’s really like to chase a dream in music.

because while people may only see the few hours she spends performing, they don’t always see the years of work, vulnerability, rejection, creativity, and dedication that happen behind the scenes.

kristin shares what it’s like to write songs, perform with her band, find her voice as an artist, and continue showing up even when the path isn’t always clear.
